Marie Scott's Place
I have mentioned this before, but if you have not googled Marie Scott you should. She was quite the business woman and rancher. The story of her life is very special. I remember her well and she was a colorful icon of the community.
Anyone who has visited the Sneffles Range of the San Juan mountains has seen this scene from the highway over Dallas Divide. It is now part of the Double RL Ranch. As a native of this area I am pleased that Ralph Lauren purchased the ranch from Marie's heirs. It is still a working ranch and it will not be subdivided in my life time. Only someone like him would be able to preserve this vast acreage and the life style.
The clouds were dramatic on this fall day, as you can see. Thanks for viewing and leaving comments or favs.
